Frequently asked questions:
1.) How do you come up with your ideas for designs? The answer is simple we live, breath and constantly
think puzzle. We often start with a one simple object like a cat, and then we think of all the ways a cat can move and we make more cats locking together tails and paws but leaving spaces around them. We add a border leaving room for our logo umbrella and cut a test puzzle. If the puzzle holds together enough so we can pick it up by a corner, we send it out to have someone test it.
2.) How long does it take to design a puzzle? Depends on the puzzle, the example of the cat puzzle above and go from design to market in a couple of months. The limited edition puzzle
The Odyssey took eighteen months to design and another year to work out all the kinks. It is the most awesome puzzle ever.
3.) How long have you been making wooden jigsaw puzzles? Dee has been making and cutting puzzles for eighteen years, Steve has been cutting puzzles for seven years. Then
we have a group of part time makers and cutters who have been doing it for a couple years
4.) Can I get my order right away? Not likely, we sell so many puzzles we rarely have a lot of precut puzzles in stock, we are working to make that better. Most orders are started as soon as they are ordered and are done in the order they are received. Limited editions take months and even years, your name is put on a list and we contact you when
you turn is up. We know it takes a long time 4- 6 weeks is the norm to get your order. Good things are worth the wait and we have never had anyone who was not delighted when they received their order.
5.) What kind of wood do you use? We use ¼ inch environmentally friendly Apple Ply with a lovely cherry back.
6.)What is your return policy?
We do except returns within 30 days and with good reason but they are for store credit and or merchandise only. Not cash back. We do not except
puzzles back that were originally customized..
We know you will love your Platinum Puzzle and in our ten years of business we have had only two returns.
One for being to hard and one for being to easy!
